In 2023, industrial holding Del Mar Energy embarked on a large-scale project to modernize equipment at oil production facilities in Egypt. This $16,800,000 project is being implemented in partnership with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), Egypt's state-owned oil company.
Egypt, being one of the leading countries in oil and gas extraction in Africa, places great importance on the development and upgrading of its energy infrastructure.
KEY OBJECTIVES:
1. Increase productivity.
2. Reduce environmental impact.
3. Improve safety.
KEY STAGES:
1. Evaluation of the current equipment condition.
2. Development of modernization plan.
3. Procurement and installation of new equipment.
4. Staff training.
5. Testing and commissioning.
The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) plays a key role in project implementation, providing support at all stages – from planning to commissioning. Collaboration with EGPC allows Del Mar Energy to effectively coordinate the project, taking into account local characteristics and requirements.
The implementation of the equipment modernization project at Ras Gharib oil fields will bring significant benefits to both Del Mar Energy and the Egyptian economy as a whole.
The introduction of advanced technologies and increased efficiency in oil and gas extraction in the Ras Gharib region will help strengthen the country's position in the global energy market and contribute to sustainable economic growth.
